Tai Chi In-Person
Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that focuses on balance and breathing. Studies have shown many health benefits from this controlled slow movement using all our muscles and providing energy. There are many forms of Tai Chi; the one we will be practicing was developed for the Arthritis Foundation but open to everyone. People with mobility issues can do the form sitting in a chair. Our sessions will be 45 minutes and include warm up, some simple related exercise, learning the Tai Chi forms, and cool down. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Tai Chi will be meeting on Wednesdays at 2pm starting April 5 and will be led by Pam Bishop.
El Tai Chi es un ejercicio suave que se centra en el equilibrio y la respiración. Los estudios han demostrado muchos beneficios para la salud de este movimiento lento controlado que utiliza todos nuestros músculos y proporciona energía. Hay muchas formas de Tai Chi; el que estaremos practicando fue desarrollado para la Arthritis Foundation pero abierto a todos. Las personas con problemas de movilidad pueden hacer el formulario sentados en una silla. Nuestras sesiones serán de 45 minutos e incluirán calentamiento, algunos ejercicios simples relacionados, aprendizaje de las formas de Tai Chi y enfriamiento. Use ropa y zapatos cómodos.
